Free Garage Sale (Ages 18+)
In honor of Earth Day, the Library is hosting a free garage sale to extend the purpose of things shared, old and new. Please donate your gently used household decorations, cookware (no sharps), small furniture, toys, and electronics/re-usable parts by bringing them to the Albany-Springfield Branch from Monday, April 15 – Thursday, April 18. We cannot accept clothing, bedding, large furniture, open cosmetics, medical supplies, and hazardous or broken items. Please call the branch first to schedule a drop off time for larger items. Come to the Free Garage Sale and shop from the items donated to give them their next best life.

Reimagined Icons: Barbie-Inspired Folded Book-Art (Ages 18+)
Barbie recaptured the public's imagination with a blockbuster movie, and now we're bringing that excitement to our Library! We won't be just playing with dolls. Our program will feature a unique craft that combines the timeless silhouette of a fashion doll with the transformative art of book folding. This project will combine a Barbie-inspired iconic look with an ever-fashionable skirt through precision-folded pages. All supplies are provided.

Book Babies (Ages 0-2)
Book Babies, our storytime for babies and toddlers, focuses on developing early literacy skills –those skills necessary in order to begin to learn to read. Older siblings are welcome to attend and are encouraged to bring a stuffed animal friend so they can play along.
Storytimes feature stories read aloud and can include songs, finger plays, puppets, and crafts among other activities. Pick your most convenient library branch and come join the fun!

It's time for a Milestone Meeting! Join us for this fun event from our 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program. Your child will enjoy learning a new early literacy concept through puppetry, story, and song. Collect program prizes, and use our photo booth and props to capture memories of your child’s precious milestones.
